Campaign is the main plot-driven story mode in Battlesmiths: Blade and Forge. Each Campaign chapter offers more than a dozen missions with a single plot line. Each mission has three rounds of battles. Each mission requires food (the further you progress, the more food you’ll need), and the main reward is gold. Losing any round of the battle resets your overall progress of the mission, and the food you spend is not returned.
 
Chapter 2 of the campaign also unlocks grind-missions (green on the map) where you can also get rare crafting ingredients for crafting high-level artifacts. These missions have an auto-battle function: you can spend a few gold coins in addition to food and get the loot quicker thanks to an algorithm fighting for you. The UI shows your chances for the battles, so you can decide, whether to rely on your luck or fight manually, so that you can control the outcome of the battle yourself.
 
The story of the Campaign mode will continue as new chapters are added with updates.
